The Ever Evolving Pariah

In the spring of 2006 Kathy Fitzpatrick and I teamed up to create, Pariah, A Healing Journal. For the next four years we co-produced Pariah as a quarterly web zine. Those were very creative years, it was energizing to work with so many talented writers. In four years we collectively wrote and published hundreds of articles, works of art, poems and recipes. Pariah attracted scores of contributors, hundreds of subscribers and each issue was read by thousands. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated. I truly enjoyed the harmony of our voices.

But, as with any creative endeavor, times change and we must change with them. In 2010 I decided it was the right time to take a break from web work and writing to focus on my family.

During my hiatus I did a lot of swimming, floating on the river, camping, travel, a wee bit of D.C. politicking and I worked really hard relocating my family to a beautiful area in rural Montana.

Now that spring of 2011 is upon us, it feels like the right time to resurrect Pariah. So Kathy and I decided to create this blog, which will be more casual, spontaneous and free flowing than the website.
